“The time has come for us to accept our boobs, in all their imperfect glory; big, small, reconstructed, or deconstructed. All natural, mostly natural, somewhat natural, or don’t even ask! Because they are part of us, they are fabulous! ” Rewritten especially for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Monica Bauer will be performing a monologue titled "The Breast Pride Movement". It is adapted from her full-length one-woman show, The Diet Monologues, a funny and provocative critique of our national obsession with fat. Performed to packed houses of women who laugh hysterically and then form a spontaneous support group in the lobby after the show, it's about wacky ways we less-than-perfect-looking women can regain our self-esteem in this perfection-obsessed culture.
